This year, as in 2005, I plan to run a tight ship.
I expect to have 2 major expenditures, both mass mailings. I decided to delay my fund-raising until folks really started to pay attention to the race.
Even so, a few folks have sent in early contributions. Thank you earlier contributors!
Anli, a resident in Northwest Chapel Hill, whom I worked with, insisted on paying my filing fee. Philip Duchastel, who shares my wifes love of chickens (live of course), a resident of Carrboro, generously added $100. Bora is a prolific ‘blogger, famous for securing his job at PLoS by leveraging his online treasure trove of postings over on Blog Around the Clock . Are friends David and Jill wanted to get in early. Xan, another great (though way too intermittent) ‘blogger (ForthGO), is a former Tibco developer.
This was the first time I mailed my campaign reports into the BOE. They will post the official reports as soon as they process them. Until then, here is the current state of my finances and a list of my early-bird contributors.
I started with $375.49 on-hand. I raised $285.77. I spent (Paypal fees), $9.03. Current cash on-hand is $709.36.
